Delete
my account

In the app: Profile, at the very bottom of the page, below "Sign out": Delete my account. You are asked to confirm twice.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Deleting your account also means leaving your family: an account belongs to a single family.
✓
Head of a family with other members: first hand over your role to another member (Profile › Role in the family). If you are alone in the family, the role is simply released.
✓
Family language voice recordings: the app asks you to choose between keeping them for the family, with your name, or deleting them.
✕
Your profile: first name, last name, phone number, settings.
✕
Your profile photo.
✕
Your notification tokens: you no longer receive anything.
✕
Your family creation requests.
✕
Your sign-in account.
✕
Your family language contributions not yet approved, and your voice recordings if you chose to delete them.

A family shares its memories: some things belong to it too.

•
Your messages stay visible to the family, but without your name or number: they are signed "Former member".
•
Your profile in the family tree stays in the tree, but is no longer linked to your account.
•
Your approved family language recordings stay, with your name, if you chose to keep them.
•
To recognise you if you come back: your former account identifier, the link to your tree profile and, for a Google or Apple account, that account's identifier at Google or Apple (and your phone number if it was linked). If you come back to the same family, your messages and your profile are given back to you.

Want this return information erased too? Write to us at supportplanfamilial@gmail.com.

Deletion happens right away, as soon as you confirm the second time. Messages already shown on family members' phones switch to "Former member" at their next update.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: it is managed in the App Store or Google Play settings, with the account that paid for it. Remember to cancel it there if you do not want it to renew.

Write to us at supportplanfamilial@gmail.com, giving the account's phone number (or the Google or Apple address used to sign in) and your family's name. Before deleting anything, we will ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
